1994 was the second year of the Thomas Wooden Railway. This year is notable for the introduction of Clickity-Clack Track (which was not available in sets until the following year) and the relocation of production from the United States to China.

Vehicle designs received dated wheels, non-stapled bottoms, and rounded magnets (a surplus of flat magnets led to some vehicles still having them). Although many vehicles were listed as "new" for this year, they were available previously.
