- The Big City Engine has a fictional "BCE" on his tender (an acronym of his name). In reality, this should be "LMS" (London, Midland and Scottish Railway) or "British Railways".
- The Big City Engine has green wheels instead of black.
- The Big City Engine is the only known Wooden Railway engine to have counterweights on his wheels.
