This freight car is noisy and silly, talks a lot and does not pay attention to what he’s doing. The trucks take great delight in causing trouble for whichever engine has to pull them.

Trivia[]

  • The prototype 1992 Troublesome Truck, as seen in the prototype 22 Piece Starter Set, is light gray and features red wheels.
    • Its chassis was re-purposed from a vehicle in the German HEROS wooden railway brand.
  • The prototype 1993 Troublesome Truck features a more detailed sticker face, whereas all produced versions have stenciled faces.
  • The third 1993 Troublesome Truck with a stamped face is a test example that was never meant to be released. Creator Roy Wilson had initially claimed approximately 100 to 200 copies were accidentally packaged and released around New York and England, but later stated that the minimum quantity allowed for a model to be produced was 2,500, thus the variation of the Troublesome Truck likely had a few thousand copies made that were accidentally released.
  • The German name of Verflixter Güterwagen translates to "Darn Freight Car".
