Trivia[]
- The prototype 1993 Ben uses James's face. His eyes look towards his left instead of his right.
- Ben's original design with sticker labels had only 200 copies produced for the Thomas Wooden Railway's initial trial run in 1992. The sticker labels were liable to peel off easily, and were used because the production facility lacked a pad printer for rounded surfaces at the time. It was one of 3 engines to feature stickers when first produced, the other 2 being Toby and Bill.
- All individual versions of Ben are identical to Bill, apart from their nameplates depicting their respective names and Ben's eyes looking towards his right.
- The 1993-2004 versions of Ben have no funnel. Toby, Bill, Duck, Donald, Douglas, and Logan also share this.
