- One prototype Frieda features her tender with the number four instead of 409.
- All prototype Frieda's feature plastic coal in her tender instead of oil.
- Frieda's tender and streamlined casing features red and black stripes which make up the German flag. In The Great Race, the stripes are swapped around.
- Frieda's front wheels cannot move from side to side, much like those of Murdoch, Arthur, Connor, Caitlin, Streamlined Emily, and Racing Vinnie because of the encasing plastic.
