The Lifting Bridge is a bridge. When the crank is turned, the bridge will rise to let tall vehicles past underneath. Two stop signs are included to prevent engines from crossing the bridge while it is raised.

- The prototype 1995 Lifting Bridge features boom gate barriers.
- This bridge and the Double Wide Old Iron Bridge were the first bridges to have Ascending Track included.
- Most engines can still go under the bridge, even if the lift bridge is not raised.
- The stop signs on the bridge are also used in Highway Crossing, Rail Crossing, and the crane in the Rheneas and the Dinosaur Story Pack.
- The prototype 2001 Lifting Bridge features the roof with a brighter shade of green.
