The Sodor Bay Cargo Ship is a container ship. It comes with two pieces of magnetic crate cargo.

Product Description

1996 German box (translated)

Sodor, the ship, makes regular trips to the harbor. His cargo is unloaded, loaded onto the trailers and delivered by the waiting locomotives across the island.

Changes

  • 1993 (white cab)
  • 1994 (yellow cab, continuous hull stripe)
  • 1996 (plastic stub on bow)

Trivia

  • The ship was originally meant to have holes on the side to be connected with pegs on the Sodor Bay Tugboat, but instead was given a male connector track piece on the bow to be towed by the Tugboat with a rubber band or a piece of kite string tied together.
  • The German edition is only labeled as Sodor on the hull, instead of Sodor Bay. The vehicle seems to be treated as a sentient character and uses "Sodor" as its name.
