Item Number:

  • LC99084 (1998-2005)
  • CDJ05 (2015-Present)
Mike is an Arlesdale Railway engine.

  • Learning Curve
    • 1998 (longer main body with six black wheels)
  • Fisher-Price
    • 2015 (shorter main body with four red wheels, CGI face, headlamp, longer magnet guards, gold dome, curved corners, inner wheel lip added, and other details)

  • Mike never had a painted coal tender, despite being introduced in 1998, while all the other tender engines had painted coal tenders. Duke was also like this.
  • Some rare versions of the original Mike model have a wooden funnel.
  • Mike was the only engine introduced in 1998 to originally have a wooden funnel. It is presumed that the makers had already moved on to plastic funnels by the time Duncan was first introduced. Coincidentally, the first models of those engines were introduced that year.
  • He was not featured in the 2003 or 2004 pamphlets, but was featured in yearbooks.
